Day 1 -Durango/Miravalles
|
Welcoming at the airports morning flights to then
continue on our support vehicle, to the town of Miravalles,
6 hrs. Lunch on the way, prepare for early departure
next day. Dinner and sleeping in our base camp.

Day 2 -Miravalles/Potrero
La Vaca |
After a hearty breakfast, we leave early in the morning
on our trek on the very broken riverbed of the canyon
Piaxtla. During the day we'll rappel two minor falls
of 20 t
o 40 Mts. In one of them we will see the remains
of a wrecked plane of some time ago. Light lunch and
continue to our camp for the night at La Vaca. Very
good dinner.

Day 3 -Potrero La Vaca/Pie
de Salto |
After a good breakfast that will have to last most
of the day, we prepare for our first rappel on a jump
of 70 Mts. Today we will travel light carrying all
of our equipment and food for two days on us. After
a light lunch we continue with a great rappel down
the side of the big waterfall 120mts. We make camp
some distance away from the foot of the fall. A small
but nutritious dinner.

Day 4 -Pie de Salto/El Pilar |
Light breakfast on this quiet morning some large
water pools that we have to cross, lunch on the way
and by early afternoon we arrive to El Pilar with
an ancient abandoned colonial church that the Count
of Suchil had built in the early seventeen hundreds.
Great country dinner cooked by one of the women in
this small ranch and camping night.

Day 5 -El Pilar/Gavilanes/Durango |
Breakfast, Leave before sunup on horseback to climb
out of the canyon 4 hrs. in Gavilanes we eat lunch
and continue in our support vehicle on to Durango
6hrs drive. Check in at Casablanca Hotel, supper Dinner
in las Chonas restauran
t, Hotel night.

Day 6 -Durango |
Breakfast at hotel, transfers to the airport for
morning flights home end of tour.
