Itinerario Observación de Aves

The blue mountains of the Huichol have always been the exploration dream of all expditionaries, it has been crossed by real personalities of adventure like Carl Lumholtz whom in 1890 was already visiting the Huichol people. These mountains of the blue deer are part of the Sierra Madre Occidental and during the time of the spanish conquest were the refuge of the indian nations that lived along the coast of what is now The States of Nayarit and Sinaloa, whom to escape from the spanish ran to the mountains and made them their home.

We also have the wish to adventure and even thou, some time has passed since the golden years of discovery, it is still possible to satisfy this desire, by traveling to these remote sites and meeting the people that with great fortitude of soul and spirit have tried to keep their ancient customs and traditions in spite of the pressure put on then by globalization and commercialization.
