Day 1 -Durango/Sierra Madre
|
Late afternoon or night arrival, transfer to hotel Casablanca, dinner, hotel night.

| Day 2 -Sierra Madre |
5 am departure in our transport for a 3 hour drive to Miravalles in the Sierra Madre, country breakfast and load our burros and start our trek. Lunch on the way and set up camp on the edge of Potrero de la Vaca Mesa. Nice fire, good dinner, great camping night.

| Day 3 -Sierra Madre |
Early morning country breakfast, and we begin to trek down a secondary canyon have lunch by one of the few creeks with water this time of the year, continue down a canyon ledge with breath taking veiws of the Piaxtla canyon, till we finnally descend a good 3000ft to Pilares a several hundred year old colonial mining Hacienda, we set camp up on the other side of the creek, long day, great fire, dinner, camping night.

| Day 4 -Sierra Madre/Durango |
Very early morning coffee, we start trekking before the sun comes up, the climb to Gavilanes (small mining mountain town) of at least 3300 feet is a good one, have some brunch on the way up, and lunch with some local at Town. Here we meet our transport vehicle and drive 6 hours back to Durango, dinner superb hotel night. End of tour.
